A young cricketer who has been selected to play at county-level for Staffordshire is being helped in his development through sponsorship from commercial heating and ventilation specialist Lord Combustion Services.
Lord Combustion Services have helped encourage young people to be active through sponsoring the shirts for four young sides at Pelsall Cricket Club in Walsall.
Now Jude, who plays for Pelsall Cricket Club under 12s, is receiving financial support from the award-winning Oldbury-based business as he progresses in the sport he loves.
Having shone at club level for his all-round play, Jude was selected to play in his age group for Staffordshire.
Lord Managing Director Stuart Smith said: “As a proud West Midlands business, we are pleased to support the development of local youth sporting talent by sponsoring Jude in his progress.
Cricket support
“We recognise the importance of encouraging more young people to develop their sporting skills so we are proud to build on our long-standing association with the region’s cricket scene by supporting Jude as he builds on his growth to date.”
The sponsorship is the latest support for cricket from award-winning Lord Combustion Services.
In the professional game, the firm is Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s official commercial heating and hot water partner, with the club’s Edgbaston stadium, one of the leading venues in international cricket which has hosted the men and women’s Ashes this summer, benefitting from an efficient and more effective hot water system installed by Lord last year.
Lord, who opened for business in 1982, have their logo on the sleeve of the club’s Royal London Cup shirt for the 50-over 2022 and 2023 seasons, as well as on advertising boards around the ground.
With a team of 45 engineers and support staff, Lord Combustion Services was recognised for its achievements in 2021 with the sustainability prize at the West Midlands Business Masters Awards and two Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
