Commercial heating and ventilation specialists Lord Combustion Services have signed up to sponsor Langley Crown Green Bowling Club as part of their continued commitment to support local community causes.
The club, based in Oldbury, was established in 1897 and has 13 bowls teams.
Lord’s sponsorship will support the club with the hosting of competitions and the maintenance of its green and surroundings. It will also help to subsidise the purchasing of club T-shirts and jackets, to promote a sense of unity and identity among members.
Launched in 1982, Lord Combustion Services have a team of nearly 50 staff serving customers across the West Midlands from their headquarters in Dudley Road East, Oldbury.
Managing Director Stuart Smith said: “As a business that is proud to be based in Oldbury, we are very happy to support Langley Crown Green Bowling Club.
“It is a local sports club that has been an integral part of the community for many years. One of our colleagues is also a member.
“Giving back to our local community is important to us not only because we are committed to being a responsible business but because it is something our colleagues are passionate about.
“We look forward to working with the club to ensure they get great value from our partnership.”
Having celebrated their 40th anniversary last year, Lord Combustion Services have built a reputation for sustainability and innovation through implementing energy efficient systems which help the environment for a range of clients such as schools, healthcare sites and public buildings including Edgbaston Stadium.
The business is up for two prizes at this year’s Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, having reached the finalist stage in the outstanding support to the armed forces and excellence in science, technology and innovation categories.
