Commercial heating, hot water and ventilation specialists Lord Combustion Services have helped encourage young people to be active by sponsoring the junior teams at a cricket club.
As they celebrate 40 years in business, Oldbury-based Lord Combustion Services have become the shirt sponsors for four young sides at Pelsall Cricket Club in Walsall including the under-9s, under-10s, under-11s and under-13s.
Fresh from agreeing a two-year extension to their official partnership with Warwickshire County Cricket Club, which sees the Lord feature on the Bears’ new playing shirts for the Royal London Cup while they provide support in driving energy efficiency at Edgbaston Stadium, the Black Country business is getting behind grassroots sport.
Lord Managing Director Stuart Smith said: “As a proud West Midlands business celebrating our 40th year in operation, we are pleased to get behind local youth sport by sponsoring the Pelsall Cricket Club shirts for this season.
“We recognise the importance of young people getting involved in physical activity, particularly team sports, so we are proud to build on our strong association with the region’s cricket scene by supporting youth teams while partnering our leading professional side.”
Since launching in 1982, Lord Combustion Services has grown from being a mechanical contractor specialising in service and commissioning of gas and oil-fired equipment to provide all aspects of mechanical and electrical building services.
From its HQ in Dudley Road East, Oldbury, Lord supported key NHS sites, care homes and schools across the West Midlands throughout the challenging Covid-19 pandemic and was recognised for its achievements with an award the West Midlands Business Masters Awards and two 2021 Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
