Our Boiler Healthcare Service dept provides Hospitals & Healthcare Centres with boiler services and maintenance, plus emergency boiler breakdown assistance.

As approved contractors for a number of Health Authorities Lord Combustion Services have extensive experience in working within functional Hospitals and Health Centres.

Our project teams have experience in the engineering standards which are expected in medical buildings, including those related to Domestic Hot Water systems and Legionella risk assessment related works.

Heating service and maintenance

The example projects illustrated above were undertaken at two local West Midlands Hospitals. The projects provided challenges to our project teams, especially as one of the plant rooms was located on the 2nd floor and the heating and hot water was to remain operational throughout the duration of the projects. The local health authority selected local West Midlands commercial heating company Lord Combustion to undertake the projects.

A temporary containerised temporary boiler plant was sited at ground level with LTHW fed from the boiler up to the 2nd floor by temporary hoses. Temporary pipework headers were manufactured and installed to reduce the changeover time onto the temporary plant.

The existing boilers were then removed and new frame mounted boilers craned into the boiler house and installed in a cascade configuration.

Modifications were undertaken to the pipework services and complete new BMS control systems installed.

The heating and hot water services were smoothly changed over onto the new boiler plant, the systems commissioned and flow rates calculated and commissioned.er
